River Regatta

Talons scouts had a River Regatta at Sheep's Bridge. Only Safia, Elody, and Beau didn't go. Dad was at work. They said there would be three races,(they had three prizes) but they only had one because of the rapids. Talon won it by two yards. In the end, there was a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards. Talon got a rubber lizard, a pack of gum, and some water balloons for his prize. After that, the boys decided to try and make their way up river in the deep area.
Mom insisted that we go home instead of play, because she wanted to pick up Elody from Candy's. I was so mad that we couldn't stay, but mom let us have popsicles for the scouts refreshments.
That night we stayed up till 11:00 listening to to Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, on audio
